An Afternoon on a Family Ranch on a summer day in Colorado

These images represent what I love most about family photography. It is the people and the warm interaction amongst the parents and siblings. The ranch animals in these photos bring an extra dimension, not only because they are beautiful, but because the children are so comfortable with them and are actively involved with feeding them and participating in the daily chores during their summer stay. The ranch is shared amongst an extended family and has, obviously, been loved and well tended. It is all the details that strengthen the photos ... the tractors, the chicken coops, the gardens, the barns, etc. They all make for an authentic backdrop for Colorado family portraits. Of course it helps when the children and parents are so photogenic, fun and an absolute pleasure to spend the afternoon with!
